The Mille Miglia gets its name from the famous Italian road race that began in 1927, and it is undoubtedly one of Chopard’s most historical watches. The brand has served as Official Timekeeper of the Mille Miglia Storica since 1988, so it’s quite fitting that its flagship should pay homage to the classic car race. What’s more, Chopard co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele has raced in every edition of the event since 1988, which testifies to the authentic passion that drives the brand.

The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph’s design is a throwback to the 1950s and 60s. It is outfitted with a simple round stainless steel case, whose most prominent characteristic is its high-polish finish. The dial features large luminescent Arabic indices and displays central hours, minutes, and seconds. Its deep blue color simultaneously contrasts the bright steel around it and complements the brown leather strap, which ties the design together wonderfully. Inside, the 37-jewel COSC certified ETA cal. 2894-2 ticks steadily away.
