In recent years, Casio has made something of a tradition out of collaborating with NASA, and we’re very glad they did.
The latest G-Shock to come out of this new-found partnership is the GWM5610NASA4, which, as you may have noticed, comes in a bright orange that mirrors the color of the flight suits worn by astronauts. The “International Orange” color is lifted straight from the Launch and Entry Suit – unofficially referred to as the “pumpkin suit” – worn from 1988 to 1994. The LES suit was then replaced by the Advanced Crew Escape Suit, which also utilized the bright color. A NASA logo is printed on the watch band, the American flag is printed on the band keeper, and the stainless steel case back showcases a laser-etched likeness of an astronaut.
Major features include Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6, World Time, stopwatch, countdown timer, 5 alarms, a fully automatic calendar, and a LED light with adjustable afterglow.
