Cartier Roadster Chronograph XL ref. 2618 / W62019X6 – Polished

Cartier – dubbed “King of Jewelers, Jeweler of Kings” – was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier, who in 1899 handed the company down to his three sons. After they established it internationally, they immeadiately turned their attention to watchmaking, for which they had long harbored a passion. Today, many of the creations crafted under their stewardship are considered iconic. These include the Santos (1904) – one of the first wristwatches – the Tortue (1912), and the Tank (1919).

And while the Roadster might not be the oldest design in Cartier’s catalog, it presents a very compelling take on the chronograph concept. It features a delicately finished tonneau-shaped steel case that follows the wrist’s natural curvature, framing a traditionalist, white-on-black dial. The latter is adorned with stylized Roman numerals, a striking circular motif backdropping the former, а date display, and a set of black ellipse subdials and luminous sword hands. Despite its elegant demeanor, however, the watch gives off a decidedly masculine vibe, thanks to its size and geometry. Oh, and did you see that date-display magnifier? Cool stuff.
Inside, behind the brushed caseback, the brilliant Cartier cal. 8510 is ticking tranquility away.

Our offering is in excellent condition – just polished per OEM specs, comes as watch only, and is outfitted with its ОЕМ steel bracelet. Ticking per specs.
