Breitling Transocean Chronograph Chronometer 43 Limited edition ref. AB015412/G784 – New OEM strap, Full set

Breitling SA was founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling – a passionate and innovative watchmaker known for his sharp business sense. In 1915 – barely a year after he had passed – his son, Gaston, proved he had inherited his father’s pioneering spirit by introducing one of the first-ever wrist chronographs with a separate push-piece above the crown. The brand’s innovations continued well into the 1940s, and in 1952 – with Willy Breitling in the driver’s (or rather pilot’s) seat – the Navitimer made its debut. The model proved extremely popular among pilots, airlines, and aircraft manufacturers, which was hardly surprising, seeing how those were the very people it had been designed for.
Six years later, in 1958, the brand introduced the Transocean – a timepiece meant not for the wrists of pilots or engineers but those of travelers. With the Golden Age of flight in full swing, it was only natural for Breitling to try and accommodate the needs of globe-trotters. This model incorporated a more refined design and featured a revised set of functions, making it perfect for frequently traveling executives and Madison Avenue big shots.
Just like its predecessors, this modern iteration of the Transocean is somewhat of a departure from Breitling’s typical aesthetic. With its classic 43 mm case and traditionalist dial scheme, it could easily pass for a dress watch, yet it still boasts some impressive features. More specifically, the model is highly shock-resistant, antimagnetic, and water-resistant, all thanks to its “super-sealed” case. Behind the twin-zone décor of the dial, the COSC-certified Breitling B01 is confidently ticking away. Although it appears hidden at first, the sturdy movement is easily revealed thanks to the double back clasp cover.
Our offering is in excellent condition, comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and is outfitted with a brand new OEM brown leather strap with a deployment clasp. Ticking per specs.

The watch is covered by 1 year of limited warranty from ChronoTimepieces.
