The history of Breguet spans four centuries and is so rich in innovations and reforms that one could posit, with a certain degree of assuredness, that watchmaking as we know it wouldn’t exist without the brand. And they’d be right.
The Classique represents an encapsulation of everything that makes Breguet great. It comes equipped with an exquisite coin-edged case fashioned out of 18-carat gold. The dial features an intricate guilloche pattern in its middle and circularly-brushed hour and minute tracks toward its outer edge. Since Abraham-Louis Breguet was among the first adopters of the guilloche technique, it’s quite fitting that the Classique should make use of it. The watch’s old-timey aesthetic is further enhanced by its Roman numeral indices and blued ornamented hands; as it so happens, this type of ornamentation also carries the Breguet name.
The Classique ref. 5967BA/11/9W6 is power by the Breguet calibre 506.2 – a finely-decorated 20-jewel hand-wound movement, which the transparent caseback proudly displays. Our offering is in excellent condition and comes on a high-quality brown leather strap
