Rolex cal. 3175
Rolex cal. 3175 is an in-house developed self-winding (automatic) GMT movement used in their GMT-Master ref. 16700 model between its introduction in 1988 till 1999. It features a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (A/h) and a power reserve of 48 hours, COSC certification, 31 jewels, Hacking seconds, a date display at 3 o’clock with Quick Date Correction and GMT functionality (Dual Time zone) via a fixed GMT hand. The cal. 3175 was the last GMT-Master movement to feature a fixed GMT hand rather than the adjustable hand found in the GMT-Master II models with the Rolex caliber 3185.
