Pierce
Pierce is a Swiss watch manufacturer that was founded in 1883 in Biel by Leon Levy and his brothers. The company quickly gained a reputation for producing reliable and robust watches, and in the 1930s they produced their first self-developed movements. Not long after their chronograph calibers 130 and 134 became widely used by the British Army’s medical divisions. In 1956, they introduced the Duofon, a mechanical alarm wristwatch with the ability to deliver an alarm signal in two volumes. Despite the quartz crisis in 1970, the company remained committed to producing purely mechanical watches. The brand was revived in 2005 and currently offers low-priced models inspired by their historical models, using Swiss movements that are assembled and regulated in Germany.
