Atlantic
The Atlantic watch company was founded in 1888 in Bettlach, Switzerland by Eduard Kummer. Initially, the company produced parts for other watch brands such as Longines and Certina, but in 1932 they released their first watches under the Atlantic brand, including one of the first waterproof chronographs. In 1960, the company developed the “Speed Switch,” which allowed the date to change 52 times faster, and they sold this innovation to other watch manufacturers. Atlantic’s flagship models are from the “Worldmaster” family and are known for their high quality and timeless design. Today, Atlantic offers a range of watches in a middle price range, including sporty, classic, and elegant options, all distinguished by their unique Atlantic look.
