Watches like the one we have the pleasure of offering here are some of our favorites since they leave a great deal up to one’s imagination, often sparking up heated debates in our office. As far as what we actually know about this watch… well, that’s somewhat limited.
To be a little more exact, we know that it dates to 1917 and that it was imported by Stockwell and Co. Who made the watch remains unclear as pieces meant for military use during the First and Second World Wars were left intentionally unbranded because make and model weren’t especially important in that context. What was far more important was that they were sturdy, accurate, and reliable as they were supposed to be worn by soldiers fighting for their homelands. Whether this one has ever seen combat up close is for you to decide, but the fact remains that it has an undeniably haunting aura about it.
Our offering is in great condition for its age and comes outfitted with an artificially-aged remake of its original strap. Keeping perfect time.
Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year, starting on the date of purchase.
