Why do we buy vintage watches? Well, it’s quite simple – Because we’re enamored with the stories behind them, we’re obsessed with the thought of who wore them before they found their way to our wrists. And as far as stories go, you could hardly do any better than the watch on offer here.
Dating to 1954 and worn by Yugoslavian pilots, this Zenith chronograph must be one of the rarest chronographs we’ve ever come across. It was produced in a limited run of 2000 pieces, and it showcases the best that the military watches of the time had to offer. The case is in immaculate, knife-edge-sharp condition, and the dial showcases a beautiful tropical patina, which serves as an eloquent reminder of the watch’s rich history. The cherry on top has to be the movement within, the rare Excelsior park made hand-wound caliber 143-6, which has just undergone thorough servicing and inspection at the hands of our very own in-house watchmaker and is ticking as accurately as can be expected. Please note that the hands were replaced with the correct ones for this very model.
The watch comes outfitted with a brand-new quality leather strap.
Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year, starting on the date of purchase.
