Breitling Avenger Blackbird 48 ref. V1731010/BD12 – Full set, New Rubber strap + Folding clasp

Breitling SA was founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling – a passionate and innovative watchmaker known for his sharp business sense. In 1915 – barely a year after he had passed – his son, Gaston, proved he had inherited his father’s pioneering spirit by introducing one of the first-ever wrist chronographs with a separate push-piece above the crown. The brand’s innovations continued well into the following decades, and in 1952 – with Willy Breitling in the driver’s (or rather pilot’s) seat – the Navitimer made its debut. The model proved extremely popular among pilots and aircraft manufacturers and would later come to signify the beginning of Breitling’s avionic legacy. The watch on offer here – the Avenger Blackbird – is a continuation of that same legacy.
It comes equipped with a robust, PVD-coated titanium case that measures 48 mm in diameter but wears effortlessly. Of course, the brand’s signature uni-directional bezel – characterized by its distinct rider tabs – also makes an appearance, this time rendered in black titanium. The “Volcano black” dial is adorned with applied SuperLuminova indices and sword hands, both of which feature a pleasing faux patina that lends the piece a palpable classic charm.
Inside, protected by the solid caseback, the chronometer-certified Breitling Caliber B17 is ticking resolutely away.
Our offering is in excellent condition, comes in a full set of boxes and papers, and is outfitted with a new OEM Rubber strap (unsized) with a deployant clasp. Ticking per specs.

Covered by a limited warranty of 1 year.
