Founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in Sonvilier, Switzerland, Chopard is best known for its high-end watches and masterfully-crafted jewelry. The brand’s modern collections somewhat blur the line between the two, however, resulting in an array of novel and exciting timepieces.
The Chopard Imperiale on offer here is the perfect example.
It comes outfitted with an 18K Rose Gold and steel case with an amethyst set in the crown. The Mother of Pearl dial shares the stone’s hue and provides an excellent excuse to stare at the watch face for prolonged periods of time. Much like the steel bracelet’s center-links, the hour indices and hands are also fashioned out of Rose Gold. The central minute track provides excellent legibility and frames the cloud of colorful reflections that is the hearth and soul of this piece.
